The fruit has only recently been available in western civilization because of advanced processing methods, the acai berry is extremely perishable and must be processed quickly. However, nutritionists and health experts are now aware of the astonishing health benefits from this berry. The acai berry is one of the number one foods for antioxidant content.

Combatting the damage caused by free radicals is an important role of antioxidants. They are beneficial in fighting cancer cells and helping to eliminate toxins accumulated in the body from the normal bodily functions and the food that we eat along with the pollutants that we encounter everyday. Antioxidants fight free radicals in your body which helps you to become healthier.

The acai berry can be beneficial in helping you to achieve a healthy weight that is perfect for your body.
